Has Dao Lang's "Rakshasa Sea Market" Surpassed 8 Billion Views to Break the Guinness World Record? Official Response: Not Broken, No Application Received.

On July 19th, singer Dao Lang's new album "Mountain Song Desolate" was officially released, featuring a song titled "Rakshasa Sea Market." The song directly borrowed from the story "Rakshasa Sea Market" in the classic Chinese literary work "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" and carries strong satire and symbolic meaning, quickly sparking discussions on the internet.

According to Chao News, as of 6:00 PM on July 30th, the global online play count for "Rakshasa Sea Market" reached 8 billion, surpassing the 5.5 billion views record of the Spanish hit "Despacito" released in 2017.

However, on August 1st, the official Weibo account of Guinness World Records posted a statement, saying, "We have not received any application, and the Guinness record has not been broken. In addition, the song 'Despacito' broke the record for 'most-watched MV on YouTube' with 6.7 billion views in 2020, but it was surpassed by 'Baby Shark' with 8.3 billion views in 2021."

Please note that the claims about "Rakshasa Sea Market" breaking the Guinness World Record for the most global online views are not officially recognized by the Guinness World Records.
